The brief

Lakeshore Jazz Weekend runs three free nights on the Toronto waterfront. It needed one poster per night, a day pass and a pocket programme, all printable on a small budget.

Design direction

Each night gets one shape: rings for the opening trio, stacked arcs for the big band, a bar graph for the closing quartet. Navy and orange swap places across the series, and one heavy wide grotesk holds them together as a set.

Production

The posters were screen-printed in two colours on 170 g uncoated stock and wheat-pasted along Queens Quay. Tickets and the programme reuse the same grid, so the whole festival reads as one family.

Output

3 nights, 1 system

Three posters, a ticket and a programme from two colours and one typeface.

Studio note

One shape per night. The type does the rest.
